At OST, we are always striving to learn about new technologies that will help us delight our clients. Being naturally curious and inquisitive is a trait of OST-ers, one that we encourage and support in many ones. As our IoT (Internet of Things) connected product practice grows, a cross-disciplinary cohort found themselves wanting to understand more about what makes connected product projects unique, and how they could best support them to drive value to our customers. From there, OST IoT University was born.

IoT University is an in-house certified education program designed to increase the competence, confidence and communication ability of the students (OST employees) relative to IoT. Throughout this course, students gained a deeper understanding of the concepts of six key aspects: Business Value Thesis, User Experience, Architecture, Visualization/Big Data, Managed DevOps & Security, and Edge Applications through a series of classroom experiences, homework projects, teaching what they learned, and engaging dialogue with fellow students, professional peers, and OST’s IoT University professors. Students gained skills that are driving more value-based interactions with clients, which we believe will result in outcomes that exceed original expectations.

Congratulations to the first class of graduates of the OST IoT University!
